Since a moment, I was unable to import photos from my camera (Canon Powershot A720 IS) using ghtumb.
When I plug my camera on USB, I’m getting gnome dialog box, asking me to ignore or import photos. If I choose import option, ghtumb start but don’t show anything.
After searching a long, I note that Rhythmbox show my camera as an audio player… In rhythmbox, I uncheck the “Portable player – MTP” plugin and restarted. After that, ghtumb is able to import my photos from my camera again. Seems that there is a conflict between ghtumb import photo and the rhythmbox “Portable player – MTP” plugin.
I’m using Debian SID (gthumb 3:2.11.5-4, libgphoto2-2 2.4.6-3, rhythmbox 0.12.8-2).
[update] Known bug.
